What began in a garage by Louis E. Eklund, Jr. as a start-up in 1963 has grown into a company built on a solid reputation for producing high-quality truck & trailer products.
Throughout history, Fleet Engineers is grounded in long-term relationships with customers, employees, and partners, driven to evolve leadership within the trucking industry.
In 2016, Fleet Engineers purchased Save-A-Load, Inc. a company making the trucking industry’s only hydraulic cargo bar to solve the widespread issue of load bars falling in transit. Fleet Engineers became a Tramec company in 2018 and continues to design and manufacture value-added product solutions for Spray Control, Door Systems, Cargo Control, and more. Located in Muskegon, Michigan, the Fleet Engineers Division is a campus of four buildings with over 300,000 total square footage.
As we continue to grow, our commitment to providing superior quality systems solutions and parts to our customers is growing with us. Every one of our products comes with our promise to deliver the best quality products and personalized service at a competitive price.
Our commitment is supported by a strong “Made in the USA” manufacturing presence and a distribution network across North America. We are driven to be the recognized leader in product solutions, distribution, and customer service in each of our primary product groups.
